The Winter 2018 Explore & Create series will provide families the opportunity to interact with the Memory • History • Story exhibition through gallery activities and art workshops. The First People’s Principles of Learning will also guide our approach to facilitating these set of sessions. With each class divided into two segments, explore and create, families will first enter the gallery to learn about indigenous artists, their perspectives and voices through organized activities. Afterwards, families will create a piece of art inspired by the exhibition while being mindful of cultural appropriation.
