The Gallery is open Wednesdays - Saturdays from noon to 5:00 p.m. The Gallery is closed on the weekends of Statutory Holidays.
Fall 2018: After School Art Programs Registration

​​​Artists for Kids offers After School Art classes for students each Fall, Winter and Spring term. All art supplies and materials are included in the course fee. Taught by art specialist teachers and assisted by a secondary art students, our classes provide students with the opportunity to further their artistic ability and foster positive attitudes towards the visual arts. Our classes run in various schools across the North Shore, and we proudly host an end-of-term student exhibition at the Gordon Smith Gallery.

Registration for Fall After School Art Classes will open for registration mid-July. Please check back to register your child!

**Cancellation Policy: Full refund for cancellations before the first class, $25 processing fee for cancellation after the first class, no refund after the second class.

​Art in Architecture

This program explores the built environment. Working with a teacher and architects from RAIC, students explore architecture through art and design games. Experimenting with different mediums, students will create two- & three- dimensional projects while learning about the power of architecture. Each session will be different, so sign up again!

WatercolourIn this introduction to watercolour painting students will learn a variety of techniques so that they can produce beautiful works of art. Skills such as brush technique, mixing colours, and paper preparation will all be taught. In addition to these skills students will learn how to use and care for all materials.

Jewelry Making

Students will learn to make jewellery using a wide variety of hand tools, including files, hammers, punches and supervised torch work for enamelling. Students will be taught safety and an awareness of others as well as a respect for the value of metals.
