Etienne Zack
Etienne Zack was born in 1976 in Montreal. He began his studies back east, then transferred to Emily Carr College of Art and Design. He has worked tirelessly to develop multi-layered, multi-meaning work exploring elements of our techno-visual environment. Inspired by the artistic process he helps us know and more importantly see, the magic of his art. Zack's painterly work sizzles with complexity and wonder leading us through his experience on many levels. He is one of Canada's fastest rising art stars. His work explores the materiality of our modern world juxtaposed with the process of artistic creation. As a painter, his ability to construct narratives out of the detritus of visual culture provides a refreshing perspective on our contemporary environment.
