Bring the joy of visual arts to your child this spring.
Our popular Spring After School Art Programs begin the week of April 10, 2017 and run for eight weeks.
Taught by art specialist teachers and assisted by a secondary art student, our classes provide students with the opportunity to further their artistic ability and foster positive attitudes towards the visual arts, and we proudly host an end-of-term student exhibition at the Gordon Smith Gallery.
We offer a wealth of classes for various ages and interests, from Art for Small Hands for those in Kindergarten and Grade 1, to Photography for students in Grades 4-7. One of the new programs this spring is Eco Explorers. Designed for students in Grades 2-4, this class inspires kids to create their own images based on the natural environment. Lessons will be outdoors as weather permits.
Some of our After School Art Programs are held in the Shadbolt Studio, adjacent to the AFK offices at 2121 Lonsdale. Other programs are offered in schools.
We offer 11 classes this spring. Three classes are already full, with several other classes approaching capacity. Register your young artist today, to bring creativity and inspiration to their spring.
