Begin your child’s summer break with creativity

With only a few days left before the end of the school year, it's time to register your child in one of our day camps. A few places remain, so register your child soon, to avoid disappointment.

For kids in Kindergarten to Grade 4, we offer week-long fine arts camps. Students will be immersed in drawing, painting, printmaking and exploring the Gordon Smith Gallery through our unique AFK gallery games. Students will also participate in recreational activities. The camp takes place in the Shadbolt Studio, adjacent to the Artists for Kids office and the Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art.

The first week of fine arts camp runs from Monday July 4 – Friday July 8 and is for students who have completed Kindergarten through Grade 2.

The second week of fine arts camp, from July 11 – 15, is for students in Grades 2 – 4. The days will be filled with art, exploration and recreation and are a wonderful way to inspire creative exploration throughout the summer break.

This year, for students in grades 4 – 7, we are offering a woodworking and industrial arts camp. For half of each day, students will explore safe woodworking techniques as they create a distinct piece. The industrial arts half of the camp will allow students to discover fun and inspiring skills as they build a project. The camp runs from July 4 – 8 at Carson Graham Secondary School.
